Christopher Willard // Getty Images Jackson Olson’s time on Dancing With the Stars has come to an end. The Savannah Bananas baseball player was axed in a double elimination (alongside Tyler Cameron) during “Horror Movie Night” this week, after performing a contemporary dance with his partner Emma Slater.
Speaking out after his elimination, Jackson said, “I wanted to be on this [show] since last year, and I made a bunch of videos about it. I got on it, and I got the most amazing partner in Emma. So, this journey has been amazing.”
Jackson’s had a slightly dramatic time on DWTS thanks to a comment he made on the Loco Beach Coconuts’ recreation of Guillermo Rodriguez’s choreography, where he wrote “but seriously how did you do this better than him with 2 hours of rehearsal.” He ended up having to drop a public apology amid backlash, appearing in a video with Guillermo and writing, “To G and to all of you, from the bottom of my heart I am so sorry about my comment I made the other day and that it caused this much negativity. I love this guy ❤️ now let’s do what this show is meant to be about.. DANCE 🕺 ily G.”
Despite a source saying that “all the chatter this week about his performance and people not liking him has really gotten in his head this week,” Jackson pulled out all the stops and made it all the way to week seven on DWTS , which is major!
