A British Airways captain who bludgeoned his estranged wife to demise 13 years in the past won't be free of prison after dropping a High Court battle.
Robert Brown, 60, beat Joanna Simpson, 46, to dying with 14 blows of a claw hammer to the top in their family house in Windsor on Halloween 2010.

Diana Parkes, Joanna's 84-year-old mother, previously warned that Brown would be a danger to other women if he was released as scheduled in November.
She stated: 'I'm very concerned about his release because he'll seek revenge. He will blame everyone else but himself for what he did.
'Jo's buddies, my family and ladies basically shall be typically because he has lost every thing that he had – he's been stripped of all of it.
'He's misplaced his job as a British Airways air captain, he's lost his house, he's lost his status, he's lost his high earning, however most of all he's misplaced his youngsters because they by no means need to see him once more.'
The High Courtroom dismissed Brown's legal challenge towards the government's determination to block his automated release on Wednesday.
Joanna's body was not discovered till five days later.
